H2H Community Guidelines

These rules keep the H2H Community useful, trusted and worth your time. We ask every member to read them before posting.

Our purpose

The H2H Community keeps the Human2Human Summit conversation going between editions. It is a professional space for senior leaders of exhibition organisers, venues, visitor attractions, conference producers and event-technology companies to learn from one another across industries.

Where these rules apply

  • Everywhere in the community: the feed, comments, articles, direct messages and member connections
  • Conversations with Amal, our AI assistant
  • Anything you take from the community and share elsewhere

Be respectful and constructive

  • Debate ideas, not people. Disagreement is welcome; personal attacks are not.
  • Assume good intent and ask before you judge.
  • No harassment, discrimination or offensive language of any kind.
  • Make criticism specific and useful.

Share insight, not sales pitches

Members come here to learn from peers, not to be sold to.

  • No hard selling, unsolicited promotion or cold outreach through direct messages.
  • Sharing your organisation's work is welcome when it adds to the discussion: a lesson learned, a result, an open question.
  • Commercial conversations start only when both sides want them.

Confidentiality

  • What is shared in private conversations stays there.
  • Ask before quoting a member, inside or outside the community.
  • Do not share screenshots of private messages or closed discussions without consent.
  • Treat what peers tell you about their organisations with discretion.

Credit sources and data

  • Name the source of any research, figure or chart you share, and link to it where you can.
  • Make clear what is your own data, what is published data and what is opinion.
  • Respect copyright: share excerpts and links, not full reports you do not own.

No misinformation

  • Check facts before you post, especially about events, figures and organisations.
  • If you get something wrong, correct it openly.
  • Moderators may label or remove content that is misleading.

Disclose AI-generated content

AI belongs in this conversation, and so does transparency. If a post, image or summary was mainly produced with AI, say so. You remain responsible for everything you publish under your name.

Respect privacy

  • Do not post personal data about others, such as contact details or information they have not made public.
  • Do not use the community to build marketing or contact lists.
  • Tag or name people in photos only when they are comfortable with it.

Moderation

The community is moderated by the H2H team. Moderators may edit, hide or remove content that breaks these rules. Depending on how serious or repeated a breach is, they may issue a warning, restrict access for a period or end a membership. We aim to be fair, consistent and proportionate.

How to report

  • Use the report option on a post, comment or message where it is available, or contact the moderators directly.
  • Reports are reviewed in confidence.
  • Please do not answer a breach in public. Let the moderators handle it.

These rules may be updated as the community grows. Thank you for helping keep H2H a place where human connection comes first.
